Wiltshire is just a short hop across the border for many of our suspects, and Murder to Measure is familiar with the sweeping plains, historic monuments, majestic cathedrals and old world towns and villages that define this county. From Stonehenge to Lacock Abbey, the area is packed with things to see and do, and has many locations suited to a night of intrigue and mystery.
Possible murder venues include
- Longs Park Castle - sleeping up to 16, with plenty of rooms for murder and intrigue.
- Bradley House country house wedding venue in Wiltshire/ Somerset borders
- Ivy House, Marlborough - This Georgian town house has dining rooms for up to 80 guests and is ideal for those with murder on their mind.
- Manor House Hotel, Castle Combe, Chippenham - A 14th century delight within a vast 365 acre estate, its 48 individually designed bedrooms, function rooms, lounges and bars are perfect for those with exquisite taste and dastardly intentions
The county is full of places that could suggest a particular theme for your dinner or event. How about combining a stone age theme with a visit to Stonehenge, or imagining what happens when the Lord of the Manor decides to open his grounds as a safari park such as Longleat?
The historic town of Lacock boasts an abbey and a photography museum... there must be a theme or two to be grabbed there - or perhaps you are into a motor-racing theme at Castle Combe? For those with an interest in the Cold War, how about TURNSTILE, the vast nuclear bunker at Hawthorn - is there a mole somewhere in your camp?
