Murdered By The Mob

1920s_picture

Al Kaseltzer, the owner of the Rumbling Tum speakeasy in Chicago, was found shot dead late last night in the bar's office. As leader of The Misfits mob in Chicago, he had many enemies, and suspicion has naturally fallen upon members of The Red Hand Gang.
Al's right-hand man, Levi Malone, has assumed leadership of The Misfits, and is attempting to find out who is responsible for Al's death so that retribution can be paid. He's less certain that Al's death was a mob hit.
During the prohibition of 1928, where organized crime, prostitution, protectionism and illegal alcohol distribution flourishes, tensions and the probability of further bloodshed is high.
This story shares some elements of the performed murder mystery, A Valentine's Day Mascara, but has been designed for guests to play roles and has many differences, including a very different solution. It is suitable for a mixed group, or for hen parties when all the suspects are girls. If you want to dress as a flapper or gangster, this story is ideal.

Note that it may be possible to adapt the story to include more or fewer suspects, please contact us to ask if this story could be adapted for your party.
