Murder Mystery in Devon...
Right on our doorstep
Murder to Measure is just 30 minutes away from the Devon border, so has a lot of local knowledge to help you find venues in the county and has a wide choice of performers in the area. The region has a fine mix of hotels, castles and open moors, with popular tourist sites such as Dartmoor, The English Riveria, Powderham Castle, The Tarka Trail and The South Devon Railway in close proximity.
Dartmoor was the setting for the Sherlock Holmes mystery, The Hound of the Baskervilles. Perhaps you would like to recreate the atmosphere for yourself and try a murder night in Princetown. Dare you venture onto the moors after night falls?
Dame Agatha Christie, the world's most famous mystery and crime writer, was born in Torquay in 1890 and lived for many years in the area.

We can help you organise events anywhere in Devon, including
And any of the smaller towns and villages
- Stoodleigh Court, near Tiverton - A grand Victorian pile with a splendid hall and dining room, oak paneling, original woodcarvings, grand staircase and open fire, and plenty of places for the murderer to hide. A perfect venue for your Christmas party, wedding, or team-building.
- Huntsham Court, near Tiverton - Another Victorian venue. Hire the whole place and its 22 bedrooms, roaring fire and large dining room and you will have a weekend to remember.
- Northcote Manor, Umberleigh, Devon - An 18th century manor house with elegant rooms and fine dining. Crackling log fires will warm the winter cockles, or in fine weather enjoy the patio overlooking the Japanese water garden.
Perhaps you would like your event to be combined with a visit to Buckfast Abbey, Kents Cavern in Torquay or Windmill Hill Cavern in Brixham - these and many other venues could suggest some interesting themes for your mystery night or event.
