Mysteries for Teens, Children and Young Adults
Teenage Murder Themes
Fashions do come and go, but consider the following popular themes
- High School Musical - any school setting often proves popular
- Pop Idol - reality TV
- Big Brother - reality TV
- Murder on the Dancefloor - dance competition
- Catwalk Catfight - fashion show
- Bad Beehive-iour - with a nod to Hairspray
All of our mystery events are suitable for teens and teenagers, but we do produce scenarios aimed specifically at their age group. These work particularly well when the younger guests take on the roles themselves.
If aimed at a younger audience, our scenarios avoid some more mature themes such as drug abuse or sexual issues. It's also possible to have a mystery theme without a murder - but many teenagers blood-thirsty may feel they were being short-changed! If you specify the interests of the group we can suggest themes that will engage them.
Running a Party for Young Adults
We appreciate that teenagers' interests vary widely between age-groups and sexes. What might suit a group of 13 year old girls is unlikely to entertain 16 year old boys, and indeed, many teenagers would not be interested in taking part in a murder mystery at all. However, if your group has expressed an interest in murder mysteries or improvised performance, then that interest is all that we need to provide an entertaining evening or afternoon.
As with all our events, we remain flexible with our formats, but often with a teenage birthday party or similar, the event is not based around a three-course meal. The structure may be provided by other events, for example:
- Various party activities, such as a dance competition, karaoke, buffet or a talent show can form the framework of the event.
- The event can be broken up with questioning of suspects, hunting for clues or maybe some forensic type investigation.
- The event can be combined with a visit to a place of interest - again you know your group best to suggest where their passions lie.

Murder at the Hop 6 or 8 Guests / Ages: 13 - 99
The year is 1959 and a great night is in store for all of our guests when Dan Soff hosts the latest round of the National Dancing Competition. The best Rock'n'Roll dancers will be gathering at Bonnyville High School and hoping that they will win through to the National Finals with big money prizes and tickets to fame and fortune.
Dan will be arriving at the televised event with his usual motorcycle stunt. He will be jumping over the Bonnyville High School Bus on his motorbike before skidding to a halt in the High School auditorium. He will then take off his helmet in front of the live cameras and the Hop will start.
You are invited to a Hop to be held at Bonnyville High School, Bonnyville. The music will be provided by "Rocky Shaw and the Boulders", who will be playing all of your favourite Rock 'n' Roll songs. The Hop will also feature the regional round of the National Dance Off Competition. Tonight's host is Dan Soff, who lives in Bonnyville. Dan will be the judge of the dancing competition and it is his hand on the shoulder which has ended the dream of many aspiring dance champions.
