Murder to Measure is based in Somerset, so has a lot of experience in finding venues in the county and has a wide choice of performers in the area. The area has a fine mix of hotels, castles, historic venues etc, with popular tourist sites such as Glastonbury Abbey and Tor, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Exmoor National Park, The Somerset Levels, Wells Cathedral and West Somerset Railway nestling cheek by jowl.

Meare Court FarmMeare Court Farm in Taunton

is a collection of self-catering cottages near Taunton, about 10 minutes from the M5. Groups from 2 to 30 can book week and weekend breaks with or without spa packages. Catered dinners are also available.

Hornsbury MillHornsbury Mill in Chard

hosts both private & public events. Up to 40 guests can be accommodated in the Wheelroom, whilst larger groups of up to 120 guests can celebrate in the Lakeside Suite. Accommodation is available

is a newly renovated pub with plenty of traditional charm with a modern twist, just a 5 minute drive from Murder Towers on the edge of the Somerset Levels. Its private dining room can host 12-14 guests in comfort, where diners can select from a variety of traditional fare served with care and attention to detail.

is set in the Barle Valley in the heart of what the locals refer to as "Exmoor Proper". Simonsbath House stood alone for over 150 years before the small hamlet developed in the 19th Century. The hotel has a rich history and plenty of opportunity for exploring the local area.

Somerset, is village pub with a traditional country feel and a good selection of locally-sourced food. It runs monthly events, including public murder mystery dinners. It is an easy drive south of Bristol and we also close to both Cheddar Gorge and Bath.

New FarmNew Farm in Over Stratton

is a family-run restaurant with rooms housed in a converted Ham stone farmhouse just off the A303 near South Petherton. It prides itself on using fresh local ingredients and provides 4* accommodation in its 3 tastefully furnished guest rooms.

at the Wharf is housed in a converted warehouse built in the early 1800s to for trading salt and corn. Situated right next to the River Parrett in the heart of the Somerset Levels, it prides itself in providing fresh, wholesome produce. It is available to hire for all types of functions such as weddings, birthdays, corporate events and private parties and also hosts public events.

East Somerset RailwayEast Somerset Railway in Cranmore, Shepton Mallet

The steam train and carriages of this heritage railway form the perfect backdrop for an evening of mystery and intrigue. Hop aboard at the station in Cranmore and join us as we swiftly and delighfully dispatch our various victims along the way.

Haselbury MillHaselbury Mill in Crewkerne

near Crewkerne is a popular function, dining and wedding venue set among acres of gardens and rolling fields. It offers a hotel as well as a glamping area and hosts events throughout the year.

The ShrubberyThe Shrubbery in Ilminster

is located only a few hundred metres from our base at Murder Towers and looks set to be a popular venue for both public and private events. It has rooms providing private dining for groups from 15 to 250.

The Manor HotelThe Manor Hotel in Yeovil

in the centre of Yeovil was built in 1735 by local glover and merchant banker John Daniel and known as Hendford House. After he passed away it was rented out until it became The Manor Hotel in 1927. The hotel was fully renovated in 2011 and it boasts several suites suitable for private parties.
