A football themed murder mystery dinner
This scenario was first performed in February 2007 for Yeovil Town Football Club. Roles were played by a combination of Murder To Measure performers and volunteers supplied by the club. If you wished to stage this scenario we can alter the references to apply to any club, or indeed apply it to rugby, cricket etc.
Synopsis
Events occur at the home ground of Glovechester United, Hushhush Park. Glovechester have a proud history, and have rapidly risen 2 divisions to the Premium Division of the Soccer Association. The play in white and green (NOT green and white), and are known as Spearmints as a result.
Half way into the season there are rumours of financial trouble, and the club are languishing at the bottom of the table. The Spearmints Appreciation Society (SAS) are holding a fund-raising dinner to erect a statue of former top striker "Slim" Jim Groves. Slim holds the club - and indeed the league goal-scoring record of 200 goals in his 8 seasons with the club in the 80s.
But team manager, Graham Bung, is rumoured to have been involved in some dubious activities, and this has not gone unnoticed by the current star striker, Ryan Ruby and his glamorous girlfriend, Naomi Soupcan. As the accusations fly, SAS chairman, Ted Fan, struggles to keep the evening in order.
