We are based in Somerset and tend to mainly operate in the south west of England. We have travelled more widely (even abroad!), but obviously distance is a factor in pricing, and we prefer to remain fairly local where possible to keep our pricing as affordable as possible.
Murder to Measure have conducted events in a variety of venues; from village halls to castles, boats to restaurants, front rooms to hotels.
Our only requirement is for a single room separated from non-participating guests, although if other rooms are available, we can make use of them for crime scenes etc. We won't tie you down to one of our venues and if you already have somewhere in mind, that's fine.
If you would like us to find a venue for you, this is usually possible for no additional charge. Prices for venues vary widely, but there is usually somewhere to suit any budget and size of group.
If you are looking for an overnight stay, hotels are fine, but an ideal location for a mystery event is one where you can take a venue over completely. This may be possible with smaller family-run or boutique hotel, or for weekend bookings a rented cottage/manor house is often more cost-effective.
